Hythe Marina Village

Opened in May 2022, Freedom Boat Club’s Hythe location is part of our expanding Thames–Solent Hub, giving members unlimited boating across three unique locations: Hythe, Swanwick, and Chertsey. With one membership, you can enjoy the perfect mix of river cruising and coastal adventures, all under the same club.

Located on the edge of Southampton Water, Hythe is a fantastic starting point for exploring the Solent. Just across the water lies Ocean Village, with popular destinations like Hamble, Calshot, Beaulieu, and Cowes all within easy reach by boat.

The bright and welcoming clubhouse is a popular gathering spot for members, ideal for grabbing a coffee before heading out for a day on the water.

In 2024/2025, the Hythe fleet received a full upgrade and now includes:

  • BRIG Eagle 6.7 – a stylish and sporty RIB, perfect for fast coastal trips
  • Beneteau Antares 8 Fishing – ideal for relaxed cruising or a day’s fishing
  • RAND Play 24 – a sleek, modern day boat designed for sociable cruising
