Welcome to Freedom Boat Club – Boating Made Simple! Established in 1989 in Sarasota, Florida, we are the largest members-only boat club in the world. Members enjoy unlimited boating within their Home Club as well as reciprocal access across hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and Europe. And with a diverse fleet of boats available, we’ll have the right boat to match your desired adventure.

We Take Care of It All...Including the Boats
We’ve taken care to select a variety of quality boats. And we always keep them clean and maintained. We also take care of the storage, insurance and repairs. So you can just focus on the fun!
Pay a 1x Entry Fee and Monthly Dues
Just pay a one-time entry fee and select one of our membership plans. Your local Club will have a variety of plans to match your recreational boating needs.
Get Unlimited Training from Licensed Captains
Your safety is our No. 1 concern. So we give all our members unlimited training with certified captains. And if you wish to boat in a new location, they’ll show you the waterways.
Take Any Boat Out as Often as You Wish
Reserve a boat by phone or online. Then go fishing, tubing or head to a restaurant with friends. When you’re done, just bring the boat back and pay for the fuel. We take care of everything else!

FBC brings the outstanding recreational hobby of boating to the average person. The boats, currently four, are clean, newer and in great condition. And they are fairly expensive as well, more than I could afford to buy AND maintain. And then there is Vince, the dock master. He brings concierge to boating. He meets you, reviews key boating info (temps, wind, etc.) and goes through the comprehensive checklist with you before you cast off.
I did a reciprocal from Lake Oconee last week and had a great time. I just wanted to email you and thank you for the time you spent with us and the kindness you showed. Becoming a member of The Freedom Boat Club over 18 months ago is the best decision I have made in a very long time. To date, every promise made in the contract has surpassed my expectations. Each time I want to take out a boat, I simply go on my computer, or even an app on my phone, to make a reservation; it’s as simple as that. When I get ready to leave for the marina, all I have to do is mention the dockmaster, Vince, by name, and my dog, Jacks

Reserving a boat has never been easier. Simply log in to your reservation dashboard and choose your desired date, vessel, and time slot.
Freedom Boat Club is truly unlimited boating. We allow up to 4 rolling reservations at any given time. Simply put – you can have 4 reservations on the books. Once you use one, you free one up. You may book up to 6 months in advance!
