Mike and Jake Goodridge have been involved in the local boating community for over 30 years. Prior to opening the Newburyport location in 2006, Mike and Jake were in the marine towing and salvage industry and also owned a boat brokerage operation. Once they discovered Freedom Boat Club, they saw it as a revolutionary break-through in boating and a great option for many local boaters.
Due to the success of the boat club, Mike and Jake acquired Yankee Landing Marina in 2017 and Jake was listed as a Boating Industry 40 Under 40 honoree in 2019.
We hope to be able to welcome you and your family to "Come Aboard" soon.
Your safety is our No. 1 concern. So we give all our members unlimited training with certified captains. And if you wish to boat in a new location, they’ll show you the waterways.
Such a fun experience. You show up to the dock, jump on your boat and get out on the water. The best part is when we are done, we return the boat, grab our gear and head home.
I look forward to the new boats every season. The boats are well kept and it is fun to try out the new boats.
FBC is a great fit for our family. I like to fish, but my family prefers to cruise. We have access to both types of boats with the club, so we can all enjoy it.
The reciprocity is awesome. We have boated at 4 different locations for family vacations and I have been to 2 others when I was traveling for work. We can't wait to visit more.
The pricing structure is much like a country club. You will pay a one-time entry fee and monthly dues based on the membership that you choose. Connect with the club nearest you to learn more about membership options and current promotions!
Reserving a boat has never been easier. Simply log in to your reservation dashboard and choose your desired date, vessel, and time slot.
Freedom Boat Club is truly unlimited boating. We allow up to 4 rolling reservations at any given time. Simply put – you can have 4 reservations on the books. Once you use one, you free one up. You may book up to 6 months in advance!
