San Diego Bay is a natural harbor and deepwater port located in San Diego County. San Diego Bay is considered one of the best natural harbors on the west coast, and spans 34 miles of waterfront. The bay, which is 12 miles long and 1 to 3 miles wide, is the third largest of the three large, protected natural bays on California’s entire 840 miles long coastline. In the northern part of the bay, there are two commercial “islands” called harbor Island and Shelter Island.
Independently owned and operated by Golden State Boats Inc.
Had a fantastic visit. The dock crew are super friendly and helpful. The boats were like new and clean. Easy parking. We went out for a few hours in the morning and the kids really want to go back. The river is fun. Deep so you don’t have to worry about hitting stuff. Flat with very few wakes from other boats. Gorgeous scenery. Fun stuff to do along the way like rope swings and diving boards. Super pretty town with really nice people. We can’t wait to go back.
Boats are in good shape and they are located in a great marina. It was super easy and we had no problems reserving a boat when we wanted it. Freedom Boat Club is the best way to spend your free time boating and not cleaning & maintaining boats!
I have been a satisfied and very happy member for many years now. The ease of reserving a boat (always new) from their fleet makes it possible for me to enjoy the water when I want to. There is great freedom from stress that I do not have to worry about maintaining a boat on my own.
