The Yards Marina in Washington, D.C., home of Freedom Boat Club - Washington D.C., is in the prime location for members looking to stay and play in the nation's capital. The Yards Marina is located on the northern bank of the Anacostia River between Nationals Park and the Washington Navy Yard. This area boasts blocks of fine dining restaurants, world-class hotels, hip lounges, quaint pubs, and the best of national and local shops. In addition to all that – you can take a quick walk to Nationals Park.
Complementing its vibrant and bustling location, The Yards Marina features ample amenities for our members. From exciting summer events, to well-appointed showers and a comfortable marina lounge, boaters have access to all the comforts of home while enjoying their stay in Washington.
Parking: Freedom Boat Club members and guests enjoy secure parking (at a fee). Limited free parking is available through the dockmaster.
Metro: Take the Green Line to Navy Yard stop, then a short walk to The Yards Marina.
PLEASE NOTE: A Boater Education Card from the District of Columbia or your home state must be in your possession no matter what your age. This is DC law and is strictly enforced. You can take the boaters safety course online for free at https://www.boatus.org/districtofcolumbia/

• Georgetown Waterfront for incredible restaurants, shopping, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding.

• James Creek Island for picnicking, volleyball and relaxing.
• Columbia Island to crab a bite to eat at the Columbia Island Café, enjoy the picnic area and/or get some necessities at the ship’s store.

Your safety is our No. 1 concern. So we give all our members unlimited training with certified captains. And if you wish to boat in a new location, they’ll show you the waterways.

The pricing structure is much like a country club. You will pay a one-time entry fee and monthly dues based on the membership that you choose. Connect with the club nearest you to learn more about membership options and current promotions!
Reserving a boat has never been easier. Simply log in to your reservation dashboard and choose your desired date, vessel, and time slot.
Freedom Boat Club is truly unlimited boating. We allow up to 4 rolling reservations at any given time. Simply put – you can have 4 reservations on the books. Once you use one, you free one up. You may book up to 6 months in advance!
