CORPUS CHRISTI - LAGUNA MARINA
Freedom Boat Club of the Coastal Bend has made an exciting move. We've relocated from Marker 37 Marina to the newly reimagined Laguna Marina: formerly known as The Bluffs Marina, now transformed into one of the most capable full-service marine facilities on the entire Texas coast.
This isn't simply a change of address. It's a meaningful upgrade in every dimension that matters to boaters: location, water access, facilities, and community. Laguna Marina sits at the strategic edge of the coastal bend's most celebrated waterways, placing our fleet within minutes of destinations that define boating and fishing on the Texas Gulf Coast.
For our members, current and future: this move means more time on the water, less time getting there, and access to some of the most ecologically extraordinary waters on the planet.
Boating on One of Earth's Rarest Waters
Our new home places Freedom Boat Club members at the doorstep of the Laguna Madre — one of only five hypersaline lagoons in the entire world, and one of only two in the continental United States. This isn't just a body of water. It's a phenomenon.
Stretching along the Texas coast from Corpus Christi southward toward the Mexican border, the Laguna Madre is a shallow lagoon where evaporation consistently exceeds freshwater inflow, creating salinity levels that surpass even those of the open ocean. The result is a uniquely productive and visually stunning ecosystem found nowhere else on earth.
These crystalline, shallow flats are legendary among anglers for trophy redfish and spotted sea trout, and among boaters for the surreal, almost Caribbean-blue clarity of the water. On calm mornings, you can see the bottom in six feet of water and watch fish working the grass beds in real time. There is nothing like it.
Laguna Marina is the closest launch point to these waters, which means Freedom Boat Club members spend less time in transit and more time experiencing one of the most ecologically rare and recreationally prized waterscapes on the continent.

How much is it? Are there different membership options?
The pricing structure is much like a country club. You will pay a one-time entry fee and monthly dues based on the membership that you choose. Connect with the club nearest you to learn more about membership options and current promotions!
How do I make a reservation?
Reserving a boat has never been easier. Simply log in to your reservation dashboard and choose your desired date, vessel, and time slot.
How much can I boat?
We allow up to 4 rolling reservations at any given time. Simply put – you can have 4 reservations on the books. Once you use one, you free one up. You may book up to 6 months in advance!
How many boats do you have?
Number and type of boats will vary by location. Connect with the club nearest you to learn more about the local fleet.
