About Marker 8 (Dunedin)
Our Dunedin location is one of our newest locations and is located at the beautiful Beso Del Sol Resort and only a short boat ride to Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands. Honeymoon is a very popular tourist attraction; Caladesi is a little more remote with shelling, beach combing and a fun place to picnic.
You will find pristine white sandy beaches, clear gulf waters, hundreds of area restaurants and the world’s most famous dolphins, Winter and Hope nearby at the Clearwater Aquarium. There is truly something for everyone in Dunedin and you can even get a bite to eat right on the docks.
There are lots of cruising destinations in the Dunedin area. Just ask your dock manager for some ideas. If you want to try your hand at fishing, there are several hot spots inshore and you can always go to one of the manmade reefs just offshore. Here is what awaits you at Caladesi Island – just one of those very special spots you’ll get to visit as a member of Freedom Boat Club. The only way to get here is by boat!
PLEASE NOTE: the resort does not allow children to be near the bar area which would preclude it from being an eatery for families. Also there are parking restrictions:
• Please drop off your gear and passengers with the Dockmaster’s at the loading zone, left of the outside bar and then park across the street in the Marker 8 parking lot.
• Member gear can be hauled in the dock carts around the building and out to our boats.
ONLY PARK IN DESIGNATED FREEDOM BOAT CLUB PARKING SPOTS OR YOU WILL BE TOWED.

We’ve taken care to select a variety of quality boats. And we always keep them clean and maintained. We also take care of the storage, insurance and repairs. So you can just focus on the fun!
Pay a 1x Entry Fee and Monthly Dues
Just pay a one-time entry fee and select one of our membership plans. Your local Club will have a variety of plans to match your recreational boating needs.
Get Unlimited Training from Licensed Captains
Your safety is our No. 1 concern. So we give all our members unlimited training with certified captains. And if you wish to boat in a new location, they’ll show you the waterways.
Take Any Boat Out as Often as You Wish
Reserve a boat by phone or online. Then go fishing, tubing or head to a restaurant with friends. When you’re done, just bring the boat back and pay for the fuel. We take care of everything else!

The pricing structure is much like a country club. You will pay a one-time entry fee and monthly dues based on the membership that you choose. Connect with the club nearest you to learn more about membership options and current promotions!
Reserving a boat has never been easier. Simply log in to your reservation dashboard and choose your desired date, vessel, and time slot.
Freedom Boat Club is truly unlimited boating. We allow up to 4 rolling reservations at any given time. Simply put – you can have 4 reservations on the books. Once you use one, you free one up. You may book up to 6 months in advance!
